Collaborated with Architecture capstone students to digitally render and show the museum, that housed Gerhard Richter’s artworks, in a fresh way. Created with Unity and Maya.
Starting with a blueprint, the museum was then digitally rendered through Unity. As Gerhard Richter plays with lights and reflection, the technical challenge was to recreate this intricacy digitally. This required careful use of Unity's light probes. I have also created an animation of water caustics to make the water more realistic. Lastly, I have honed my skills at creating textures by combining textures, bump maps, and normal maps. The model was then filmed according to the storyboard with the help of Cinemachine and Post-Processing.
For future expansion of this project, we would create a physical model of the museum that would work with an AR application to give more information about the museum. The idea for this addition is to show the architecture community not only the architectural components of the museum but also the engineering aspect that were put into its development such as rainwater collection and solar-powered panels.
